Abstract
Muslims of India were united under leadership of Quide Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to obtain a land to fulfill their dreams of Muslim renaissance. Muhammad Ali Jinah has in his mind to establish a state based on Quraan o Sunnah and not a secular state. Whatever he said on 11 August 1947, it was just to neutralize the sentiments of Hindus and Muslim which were in climax of hatred. Jinnah wanted to ensure that Hindues will not lose their identity in Pakistan. They will be free to worship. This was what Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has done in Messaq e Madina. Jinnah was working for Islamic welfare state and not a secular state. Khawaja Razi Haider head of Quide Azam Research center said what quid was looking for could be judged from the speeches of Quid from 1940 to 1948. While delivering speech at Karachi session of All India Muslim League on 26th December 1943, he referred to Glorious Quran thus: “It is that great book QURAAN, that is sheet-anchor of Muslim India. I am sure that as we go on and on, there will be more and more of oneness- One God, one Book, one Prophet and one Nation.”
The discussion was aired by Such TV on 20 and 22nd December 2018
