04 Jan: Renowned classical singer Ustad Fateh Ali Khan passes away.

09 Jan: Pakistan test fires  Babur-3 first nuclear-capable submarine cruise missile.

27 Jan: Keel laying ceremony of navy’s craft held in KS&EW. A Maritime Patrol Vessel (MPV) being built for Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW).

February

10 Feb: EXERCISE AMAN 2017 “Together For Peace” – Pak Navy to hold Multi National Exercise AMAN-2017 from Feb 10-14.

13 Feb: Terror strikes Lahore’s Mall Road; senior cops among 13 dead wounded more than 73.  DIG Traffic Lahore, acting DIG Operations along with six security men martyred in the tragic incident.

16 Feb: Blast hits Pakistan’s Lal Shahbaz Qalandar Sufi shrine in Sindh province.  88 dead more than 250 injured.

21 Feb: 8 killed & 25 others injured as three bombers storm Charsadda district court  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

22 Feb: ‘Elimination of Evils’ Army launches ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fassad’ across Pakistan to root out terrorism without any discrimination.

March

01 Mar: 13th ECO summit Islamabad 2017—-The 13th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has started in the Pakistani capital Islamabad to focus on enhanced economic cooperation and regional connectivity.

15 Mar: Pakistan kicks off  6th  census  population and housing census-2017 in 19 years delay.

16 Mar: Pakistan Navy successfully test fires ground to sea missile hit the target with precision in the sea.

17 Mar: 2 Frontier Constabulary (FC) men martyred, 6 terrorists killed in cross-border attack from Afghanistan.

23 Mar:  The Nation celebrated 77th Pakistan Day with zeal and fervor.

29 Mar:  Pakistan Navy celebrated 50 glorious years of Special Services Group (SSG). The Special Services Group was formed on March 29, 1967 for “Frogman operations”.

30 Mar: Keel Laying ceremony of Fast Attack Craft (Missile) No. 4.

31 Mar:  25 killed, over 85 injured as blast rocks Parachinar outside an Imambargah, at Shendak bazaar.

April

06 Apr: Former Army officer Lt Col Mohammad Habib goes missing in Nepal Indian RAW suspected behind the kidnaping.

10 Apr: Self-confessed Indian spy who was caught from Balochistan  awarded death sentence.

11 Apr: 14 van passengers martyred in Kurram Agency blast.

 May

05 May: 10 civilians martyred, 42 injured as Afghan border forces opened fire on Frontier Corps Balochistan soldiers deployed for security of census team near the Chaman border.

12 May: Mastung suicide blast Over 20 killed, Deputy chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri  injured.

13 May: 10 Labour killed  2 injured working at a road in Gwadar’s Pishgan area.

19 May: CPEC: 3 labourers gunned down in Turbat when  unidentified attackers  opened fire on the labourers when they were busy in construction of a road in Turbat’s Hoshab vicinity.

19 May:  Keel laying ceremony of 32 Tons Bollard Pull (BP) Tug being built for Pakistan Navy, was held at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KS&EW.

June

18 Jun: Pakistan crush India  in IC Cricket Champions Trophy  2017 in Lords (UK), Pakistan win by 180 runs.

19 Jun: Two Pak Navy men martyred, Five injured in Gwadar firing.

23 Jun: At least 13 people, including 4 police officials were killed and 9 others injured as a bomb exploded near the IGP office at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta.

23 Jun: Twin  Deadly explosions in Parachinar, at least 67 dead and about 200 wounded in the Tori Market,  Parachinar  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

25 Jun:  ‘Horrible Tragedy’   in the history of Pakistan As Fuel Tanker Fire in Bahwalpur ‘Ahmedpur Sharqia City’ 190 burnt alive, 200 injured. The oil tanker overturned and burst into flames as crowds rushed to collect petrol that spilled out to a highway. The fire was apparently caused by someone who lit a cigarette after people from nearby localities gathered on the highway to collect spilt petrol.

08 Jul: Human& Social Activist  Abdul Sattar EDHI’S FIRST DEATH ANNIVERSARY OBSERVED.

17 Jul: FC  officer ‘Maj Jamal Sheran ‘ martyred  4 soldiers were injured, when Suicide bomber targeted the FC convoy when it was travelling from its camp in Hayatabad.

24 Jul: A suicide explosion in historical city of Lahore claimed the lives of at least 25 persons and wounded 49 near the Arfa Kareem Tower.

28 Jul: Panama Case verdict: Supreme Court disqualifies Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

August

09 Aug: Four army men Martyred, including major during operation in Lower Dir.

10 Aug:  Pakistan’s ‘Mother Teresa’, Dr.  Ruth Pfau, who led a battle against the stigmatised disease of leprosy, passed away after a long illness in Karachi . She was 87.

11 Aug: Three killed, 25 injured in a road side explosion in Bajuar agency.

12 Aug: 15 dead, 30 wounded terror attack as  military vehicle near Pishin Stop in  Quetta.

14 Aug: Pakistan celebrated 70 years of independence with zeal and fervor.

14 Aug: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world are observing India’s Independence Day as Black Day.

September

07 Sep: Pakistan Navy celebrated with gusto – Apart from air-force, the Navy contingents through its ‘Operation Dwarka’ or ‘Operation Somnath.’  on the night between 7th and 8th September 1965 cast a spell on India.

08 Sep: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi  inaugurates country’s 5th Nuclear power plant C-4  at Chashma, Mianwali.

11 Sep: 69th Death Anniversary of Father of Nation  QUAID-E-AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH observed.

17 Sep: Five Pak security personnel killed in blast near  Bajur agency tribal region  Afghanistan border

17 Sep: Peshawar : Pride of Performance-winning TV actor Iftikhar Qaiser ‘ Ab Main Bolon Ke Na Bolon’ (should I speak or not) became Qaiser’s identity,  passed away.

19 Sep: Veteran Former Fed. Minister Mir Nawaz Khan Marwat Died in Karachi.

22 Sep: Indian Line of Control (LoC) Ceasefire Violation, Six citizens martyred, 26 injured in Indian firing along Working Boundary.

23 Sep: ‘Terrorists’ martyred a 22-year-old Lt. Arsalan Alam  targeted from inside Afghanistan Rajgal Valley along the border in the Khyber tribal region.

October

05 Oct: – At least 20 people were killed while 33 others suffered serious wounds when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance of Dargah Pir Rakhel Shah in Jhal Magsi district of Balochistan.

07 Oct: Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi takes charge as Pakistan Chief of the Naval Staff.

12 Oct: Pakistan Army rescues Canadian-American family along with their three young children held hostage by Taliban.

14 Oct: PM Abbasi inaugurates Pakistan’s first coal cargo terminal at Port Qasim near Karachi.

15 Oct: Four FC personnel martyred in Kurram Agency IED blast

18 Oct: At least 6 policemen martyred, 22 injured in Quetta blast, the bomb exploded at Sibbi Phattak near police vehicle.

24 Oct: Pakistani Pakistan’s armed forces as contributor to UN Peace keeping efforts, mark 72nd founding day of United Nations.

27 Oct: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and world over observed 70th anniversary Black Day to mark illegal Indian occupation.

November

02 Nov: ‘Dina Wadia’ Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah’s Only  daughter dies at 98 in New York.

05 Nov: Suicide Bomber Hits Pakistan Security Convoy martyred  5 injured 20 near a bus terminal in Quetta.

06 Nov: Pakistani diplomatic staffer Rana Nayyar shot dead  outside his residence in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.

09 Nov: Additional Inspector General Hamid Shakeel martyred, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ramzan and driver Jalil Ahmed, lost their lives while eight others including civilian’s sustained severe injuries in Quetta suicide blast.

15 Nov: Superintendent of Police (Muhammad Ilyas) three family members  (martyred) gunned down in Quetta.

24 Nov: Additional Inspector General  (AIG) Ashraf Nur and his guard martyred in Peshawar suicide blast.

December
